Big Eyes

In my daily routine, I don't do so much make up. But one thing for sure I always keep in mind that never ever leave the house with your bare eyes! I think, our eyes are the most important part that we have to look into. Actually this is the particular part of the body which gets the most attraction by other people as well. I personally think that eyeliner could dramatically affect the look and the shape of your eyes. Try to put one of your eyes with eyeliner while leave another one with its bare look. You will definitely see how the one with the eyeliner enhanced & embellished compared to another one. For this entry I would like to share with you guys a few ways to apply eyeliner in order to draw attention to them.


More Round & Big



Use eyeliner to outline the contour of your eyes at the base of the eyelashes and continue toward the outer corner, thicken and "wing" the line upward.


Oval Shaped Eyes


Start a fine line at the base of your eye lid, thicken it in the middle, and draw it toward the outer corner of your eyes.





Close Together

Use eyeliner to draw a tapered line starting thick on the inner corner of your eye and narrowing through to the outer corner of the eye.


Farther Apart

Apply eyeliner and start the line away from the inner corner of your eye thickening toward the outer edge and extend it slightly upward.




Larger


Trace a fine line of eye liner around the contour of your eye and also draw a fine line at the base of the upper and lower lashes for more definition.

Sinful Saturday

Another round of date with Mr.Bear. This time we decided to check out the new launched cosmetic department store, Sephora Starhill. This is the first Sephora store in Malaysia and what a store it is – two floors of skincare, hair care, fragrance and cosmetics. Nothing much new as for the brands of the cosmetics - Estee Lauder, Dior, Clinique, Lancome and etcetera. But a huge stack of fragrances would be an absolute thing that fascinate your eyes. Personally I didn't get so excited maybe because I am not one of the fan of make-ups & one other good reason is most of the brands that sell there which we can easily seen in other department stores in Malaysia except for Benefits, Urban Decay and Soap & Glory (Oh, I so love this brand. Cute packaging and it is affordable!)

The concept store was specially  designed by a team in France with state-of-the-art lighting and fixtures.

We checked out from Sephora and headed to The Pavilion which is just a few steps across the road. Kuala Lumpur was so humid & hot that made Mr.Bear wanting for some ice cream. Again? Yes, he is an ice-cream man! Lol. And so we made another visit to Baskin & Robins. For your information, I am not really a fan of ice cream because I simply cannot stand the electric feel kind-of-thing each time I try to munch or bite this frozen dessert.

What was so sinful about this Saturday? I was being disobedient to myself. Too weak of will power has made me shopped a lot! Let me count. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, & 10. Yes, 10 items in one round of shopping. Madness. Real madness I shall say. I just don't want to talk more about this. The more I talk about it, the more I get guilty inside. Having Mr.Bear with me at that time didn't make any differences. I thought he gonna pull me away each time I got real close to something cool. Instead of saying, "No, not at this time" he was being such a graceful and generous by saying "Ok sayang..." with a smile on his face.

Circus Clown



Purposely chose these colors, purple & green. For me, there is no limitation in combining colors. As long as you feel good with it, just go with some bold and extra neon colors. Seriously, playing with colors is fun!

Cousins

These were captured during our journey back to KL. Obviously we are such a camera freak. And for million of times one of my cousin been telling me this. "Kak Jijie, nanti jangan lupa post kat blog Kak Jijie tau..." I nodded. Then after a few second she repeated the same sayings "Kak Jijie jangan lupa tauuu....." and I was like.. "Iyeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee... nanti akak post.. " Lol.

Fuschia, Purple & White

Alhamdulillah. Everything went well. Even though it was just a small and simple reception, I was happy & glad. Having everyone that I loved around me, that was the most meaningful thing for me. Happy. Thankful. Blessed. Granted. Thank you Allah, my Mom & Dad ( I love you both soooo much!), my uncles & aunties (thanks for all of the sponsorship, lol) my siblings, my cousins, my family (and soon-to-be family), my friends and not forgotten my Boyfriend Beau Fiance'.

As I mentioned earlier, I had a simple occasion, it was just between both two families, relatives, and some close friends. I did not have mini dais or other etcetera unnecessary thing during the Majlis. In fact, Farhan was not allowed to be part of the Majlis and me myself also was not allowed to stay out of the room until the session of Sarong Cincin went off. I guessed I followed the original (and typical) Adat where I only had the Dulang Hantarans, Sireh Junjung, Bunga Rampai and Gift bags for all of the guests. Nowadays, people have different way in holding up their engagement ceremony, but as for me and my family, an average occasion would be sufficient enough. The most important thing was my family tried very hard to embrace and practice the old kind of way in Malay tradition on holding up an engagement ceremony. I guessed that was the beauty of it. Here are some of the pictures of my preparation, one day before the event.

Exhibit 1: Excuse my nude & pale face. At this time, the only thing that stucked in my head was, I wanna get this Majlis done QUICKLY. I've already tired and super duper penat, running here and there to get things done.

Exhibit 2 : I had a cute cup of Bunga Rampai as the gift to all of the guests. Thanks to my aunts, Mama Lee & Mama Nor, they did the Bunga Rampai for me. Love you both, aunts!

Exhibit 3 : I was highly in love with my Sireh Junjung. The moment when I first saw it, I shouted happily. It was big, tall, colorful & bright. Credits to Tok Mama, a 70 year old lady who's been living in my neighborhood since I was a liltle girl. She did the Sireh Junjung for FREE. Thanks Tok Mama!

Exhibit 4 : The whole presentations of my Dulang Hantarans. They were all done by me. I could not give any extra point to myself since this was my first attempt on doing the Hantarans. But I kinda satisfy with the color that I chose. It's Fuschia, Purple & White.
